Second Year
I was happy, nervous, and excited for the start of my second year, mostly because I was so thankful it wasn't my first year and that I was starting from a much different place than the previous year. My friends and I were living in rooms right next to each other, and while we had all crammed into my tiny room last year enough for it to feel like we lived together, we were all excited to have our own space, yet be so close together.
Classes were good, challenging, easy, hard, and thought provoking. The beginning of the year I was happy to be on campus again to see all the autumn colors coming in full-fledged, and by the beginning of winter quarter, I had a summer in the Dominican Republic to look forward to. I felt comfortable enough with where I was to be willing to try new things and enjoy just being. I think I also began my subscription to the "New Yorker", which most definitely made my commute to and from my internship something I looked forward to. |
